A Busy January for MHS4N6

MHS4N6 has competed two weekends in a row thus far and is head to Mtn View this coming weekend for the third. We've been quite successful in our endeavors thus far. Sona Shahbazian & Gina Mo competed at ASU and made it to octo-finals in PF. Michael Ippolito & Eric Liang also competed at ASU, making it to double-octos in PF and being named 6th overall top speakers. Alexa Curran competed in three events at ASU--prose, poetry, and dramatic interp. She triple broke to semis and then took 3rd in poetry and 4th in drama, getting her first NIETOC bid. Congrats to these 5 for an excellent showing at ASU.

This past weekend the team competed at Valley Christian. Amy Lu was a quarter-finalist in Novice LD while Mitchell Dyer took 3rd place in Novice LD. Nicole Fisher took 3rd place in Varsity LD. Eric Liang and Michael Ippolito took 3rd in Parliamentary Debate. Lin Wang & Enrique Sanchez were semi-finalists in Original Oratory. Sona Shahbazian & Kevin Tian were semi-finalists in Radio Broadcasting. Mollie Moreno took 4th in Prose Interp. The team earned 5th place in sweepstakes as well. A great tournament for all.

As we head off to Mountain View this weekend, we just want to thank all of the wonderful parents and assistants who help make our competition possible. We truly could not do it without all of you.
